About Texoma Behavioral Health Leadership Team

Strengthening Mental Health Across the Texoma Region

The Texoma Behavioral Health Leadership Team is a gathering of community leaders, law enforcement, and healthcare professionals who meet to improve the approach to mental health care. Our mission is to improve the behavioral health and well-being of all people in the Texoma community.

We don’t replace services.

We break down barriers and seek sustainable change for all the people in the Texoma community.

Working Together for Stronger Communities

Mental health challenges affect every community. TBHLT works to connect organizations, align resources, and support solutions that make care easier to access and navigate across Texoma.

Our focus is simple: strengthen partnerships, reduce barriers, and improve outcomes for the people we serve.

Why We Exist

TBHLT prioritizes the well-being of our community. Navigating mental health resources can feel overwhelming. With so many providers, programs, and systems operating independently, individuals and families often struggle to know where to begin.

We believe access to care should be clear, coordinated, and community-driven. That’s why we work behind the scenes to align partners, identify gaps, and improve collaboration across the Texoma region.

When systems work better together, people experience better outcomes.

Our Mission

TBHLT serves as the Community’s Hub for Mental Health and wellness.

What We Do

  • We bring together providers, organizations, and community leaders to strengthen collaboration across the Texoma region.

  • We promote trusted, local behavioral health services to make support easier to find and navigate.

  • We support collaborative efforts that improve mental health outcomes and overall community well-being.

  • Produce an annual Community Behavioral Health Conference that informs, uplifts, and empowers participants.

  • Seek to reduce stigma regarding mental health and wellness.

  • Dr. Jeremy P. McMillen, President, Grayson College

"To build a thriving regional economy, we must first ensure we have a healthy, resilient community. The work of the TBHLT in jail diversion, removing stigma, and increasing access to care is vital to the stability of our region. I am proud to support an organization that is so deeply committed to changing the landscape of mental health in Texoma, ensuring that every citizen has the support they need to connect, commit, and complete their personal and professional goals."

  • Michelle Lemming, Chief Executive Officer, Texoma Community Foundation

"The Texoma Health Behavioral Health Leadership Team is truly a global model of what it means to work collectively and collaboratively across sectors and disciplines, to create a mentally healthy region. Building prevention, a safety net and a better system of support and care cannot be done by one individual or one organization, it takes a community willing to trust, support, take risk and create action for a better tomorrow."
