Job Description
The Lead Mental Health Technician provides direct patient care, supervision, and support for individuals ranging from adolescents to older adults in a behavioral health setting. Responsibilities include monitoring patient safety and well-being, recording vital signs, documenting observations, assisting with daily living activities, facilitating therapeutic groups, and using crisis intervention techniques when needed. The Lead MHT also helps train other mental health technicians, promotes participation in treatment programs, models appropriate social skills, and collaborates with the treatment team and nursing staff to support patient care.
